Children's Classes

For preschool ages (3, 4 and early 5)

• Tadpole Troopers - Our pre-school program for 3, 4, and early 5 year old children is popular with families. Offered four times monthly during the school year, visiting children enjoy an hour and a half's worth of stories, games and crafts as well as a walking tour to observe wildlife in the forest.

For ages 5 to 12

• Naturalist Explorer - These classes are designed for children ages 5-8. One Saturday each month during the school year children learn about natural history and basic ecology through hands-on, engaging activities.
• EcoTrackers - These Saturday sessions inspire young naturalists, ages 9 to 12, to explore their surroundings and deepen their knowledge of the natural world.
• Summer Nature Discovery Camps - These weeklong sessions provide children ages 5-12 with a close look at natural science and ecology topics. Classes are designed and taught by staff naturalists and inspire enthusiasm for learning in over 300 young students annually.

In addition, the Nature Center offers school programs, scout programs, and birthday parties.
