Join us for our annual Tapas on the Trails, one of the Arboretum’s most popular events. This very special evening features a romantic walk on our softly lit trails with stops throughout the forest to dine on delicious courses paired with carefully chosen wines. The evening ends at the Meadow Deck overlooking our one acre pond and meadow where guests will enjoy sparkling wine, handcrafted desserts, coffee, and the company of an owl.
Chef Casey Guhl is the owner of Food Music Life food truck and Green House Catering. He is a native Houstonian who attended culinary school in Florence, Italy in 2005. After culinary school he traveled extensively through Europe, working in restaurants and learning traditional dishes of many Western European nations. Upon returning to the U.S., he worked in a number of restaurants in Texas, continuing to hone his skill. In 2013 Green House Catering was formed with an emphasis on traditional French and Italian cuisine. In 2014 Food Music Life food truck started rolling on the streets of Houston. The food truck features locally sourced produce and meats with an Italian-American fusion approach he calls “NOUVEAU AMERICAN CUISINE”. With over a decade of experience, Chef Casey brings traditional and inventive dishes to the inhabitants of Houston day in and day out.
