Winter Native Plant Sale
Date: December 6-7 & 13-14
Time: 9 a.m.–4 p.m.
(Members Preview Friday, December 5 & 12)
Using native plants in your yard is beneficial for a variety of reasons: they’re lower maintenance, save you money, and create habitat for a host of native wildlife – including songbirds, butterflies, bees, and hummingbirds. Fall and winter are the best time to plant in Houston, allowing plant roots to get established before the warmer temperatures of spring and summer. Join us at either the Fall or Winter Native Plant Sale to find over 100 Houston area native species that can enrich your landscape, beautify your yard, and simplify your life! Each plant sale will include trees, shrubs, vines, ferns, groundcovers, grasses and meadow forbs, and more. Plants are sourced from local growers and proceeds benefit the Arboretum’s conservation and education efforts. Members receive discounts on all plant sale purchases and enjoy exclusive sale days on Fridays.
Be sure to check back for a detailed plant list as the sales approach!
