American Beautyberry is famous for its bland but decorative fruit. However, cooking the berries with sugar and pectin creates a delightfully sweet-tart pink jelly. In this class we’ll work together to harvest Arboretum beautyberries and make shelf-stable jelly. Every participant will get one 4 oz jar to take home. If the weather does not cooperate and we have a poor beautyberry crop, we will make up the difference with store-bought mixed berries.

Wear clothes you don’t mind getting messy and dress for the weather.
