In this interactive online class, we’re celebrating one of our sweetest natural treats: blackberries! You’ll get an introduction to wild and cultivated blackberries, and then you’ll follow along with the instructor to prepare 6 jars of delicious blackberry freezer jam. We’ll provide the berries, sugar, pectin, and canning jars – just drop by the Arboretum on the Thursday or Friday before the class to pick up the supplies.

You will still need to have a few common cooking supplies at home: a stove, a large heat-proof bowl (stainless steel, aluminum, or glass), a sturdy wooden or metal spoon, a mesh strainer (optional: for removing seeds), measuring cups and spoons, a small pot or pan, and a ladle.

This will be a Zoom class. Class instructions on how to join the class will be on your order receipt as well as sent two hours before the class start time.
