She loves teaching biology and is currently an Assistant Teaching Professor for Rice BioSciences. She fell in love with local amphibians while working for the Houston toad ex situ conservation program at the Houston Zoo. She is also passionate about the protection and restoration of Texas prairies and is on the board of the Native Prairie Association of Texas and was previously the president of the Coastal Prairie Partnership.

This year\, the goats will be working on a 7 acre area in the northwest corner of the Arboretum between the 610 Parking Loop\, the Ravine Trail\, and the Event Lawn. Read below for some helpful tips for viewing the goats at work! \n\n\n\nAre you an Arboretum Member? If so\, join us on Friday\, August 7 from 10:00 am – 12:00 pm for a fun\, free Members-only Meet the Mowers event! \n\n\n\nStarting the afternoon of August 7\, the goats will be in a new location because they cleared the original 7 acres so quickly!
