DESCRIPTION:$20 member / $35 nonmember (per person) Instructor: Kelsey Low Ages 12 and up \n\n\n\nPrairie wildflowers are some of Houston’s greatest natural treasures. Join us to celebrate National Prairie Day by learning some common wildflower species\, how to identify them\, and how they fit in our prairie ecosystems. You may also discover plants that could grow in your garden at home!  \n\n\n\n\nRegister Online\n\n\n\n\nClass will be held rain or shine – dress for the weather and wear walking shoes. Weather permitting\, we will be walking about one mile on gravel\, boardwalk\, and mulch trails.

DESCRIPTION:$20 member / $35 nonmember (per person) Instructor: Kelsey Low Ages 12 and up \n\n\n\nWhen you think of swamps\, you probably think of mud\, mosquitoes\, and gators – but how about singing sirens\, glowing birds\, and painted devils? Houston’s swamps are more mysterious and fascinating than you think! In this class we’ll learn some of the secrets of the swamp\, including the aquatic rabbit that once threatened a President\, why some trees have knees\, and the incredible engineering power of the humble mudbug.  \n\n\n\nDue to the recent drought-like conditions\, we are unable to host this class as planned.
