Capture a shared moment in nature. This workshop is designed for parents or grandparents and children 5-15 years old as a shared introduction to photography. Bring your own camera – we’ll help you understand the functions and lenses. This is the perfect class for the new photographer or someone who wants to sharpen their skills. We’ll combine indoor instruction about camera modes, exposure, and reflectivity with an outdoor photo walk in nature to work on your skills.

Notes: Bring your own camera, wear walking shoes, and dress for the weather. All children must be accompanied by an adult.

Instructor bio: Randy Kerr and Doug Box are professional photographers with a combined 50 years of experience. Randy has taught for four years at the Ladybird Johnson Wildflower Center and wrote the book “The Compass Code Game of Light.” Doug is a past president of the Texas Professional Photographers Association and is currently the curator of the Texas Photography Museum. Both are committed to sharing their enthusiasm and experience with photography, especially when it works to connect people with nature.
