If you have never tried Texas wine, you may be in for a surprise. Texas is in the top 5 states for American wine production, and has produced wine since the 1600s. International wine enthusiasts are beginning to recognize Texas as a true wine-lover’s destination. Join Texas wine expert Dr. Russ Kane for an introduction to Texas wines, along with a guided tasting of select vintages. You might just find a new favorite wine from your own backyard!

Instructor bio: Dr. Russell Kane is an award-winning writer who divides his time between Houston and the Hill Country. He records his wine country travels on his blog, VintageTexas, and has authored two books – The Wineslinger Chronicles: Texas on the Vine and Texas Hill Country Wineries. The Texas Wine and Grape Growers Association has awarded him twice with their prestigious Wine Press Award (2009 and 2013).
