DESCRIPTION:Memorial Park Golf CourseFour-person scramble format with pre-registration required$2\,500 single-team entry \n\n\n\nBring together a team of friends\, co-workers\, or clients for an enjoyable afternoon of golf at the world class Memorial Park Golf Course. Hosted at the site of the Houston Open PGA Tournament\, Arbor Cup will have exclusive access to course amenities\, an open-grill dinner from Beck’s Prime\, and premium raffle prizes. \n\n\n\nArbor Cup Highlights\n\n\n\n\nTournament check in and light brunch begins at 10:00 am with a scramble start at 11:30 am.\n\n\n\nOpen bar\, dinner\, player gifts\, and golf cart rentals are included with each team entry.\n\n\n\nThe tournament concludes with awards\, raffle prizes\, and dinner around 5:00 pm.\n\n\n\n\nArbor Cup Golf Tournament is a four-person scramble format. Pre-registration is required. DESCRIPTION:Free for members / $15 nonmemberAges 16+\, minors must be accompanied by an adult \n\n\n\nJoin us for a grounding yoga practice surrounded by the beautiful sounds and sights of nature! Taught by Carolina Vennie of Yogaleena\, this class will be a Vinyasa Flow that is accessible to all levels. \n\n\n\nPlease bring your own mat and water. Join us to help collect data for the longest running community science project in the world. We welcome all birding skill levels. We will split into teams to find\, identify\, and count as many birds as we can find along our five miles of trails.  \n\n\n\nThere will be two “shifts”: an early 6:00 am start to look for American Woodcock in the Meadow\, and a later 9:00 am start. You can sign up for one or both shifts. We will meet at the Administration Building Staff & Volunteer Entrance (just head to the Nature Center Courtyard and you’ll see us getting ready). We recommend bringing your own binoculars\, but we will have some available to borrow. Cameras are strongly encouraged! \n\n\n\nWe will meet rain or shine – dress for the weather and wear good walking shoes. Children with an adult companion can join a naturalist for a story reading\, a simple nature or sensory development activity\, and a stroller-friendly hike on the beautiful Arboretum trails. Arrive dressed in close-toed shoes and comfortable play clothes. Be prepared for the weather including hat\, sunscreen\, jackets\, raincoat\, or rain boots\, as needed. \n\n\n\nSelect Mondays9:30 am-10:15 am10:30 am-11:15 am \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\npricing\n\n\n\nFree for Family Tree Members and above (please have member card on hand)$7 per child for nonmembers\, pay at the door (18 months and up; younger siblings welcome) \n\n\n\nNo registration necessary\, however admittance will be limited to 20 children per session. Registration will be held in front of Beautyberry Classroom. Doors will close 15 minutes after starting class or when the sign up is full. DESCRIPTION:For children 0 – 24 months and their caregivers\n\n\n\nBabies in nature? Babies ARE nature! Babies who spend time outside are stronger\, healthier\, more confident\, and better sleepers. Learn how to support your Hatchlings as they develop motor skills\, test physical limits\, captivate their sense of wonder\, and get messy in a safe place to try new things.   \n\n\n\nHatchlings will engage in outdoor nature play in this unique opportunity to interact\, explore\, and bond with their caregivers in the natural world. This program will be held outdoors and will include loose parts and messy play with natural sensory elements such as sand\, mud\, grass\, sticks\, leaves\, and water.   \n\n\n\nSpace is limited and pre-registration is required for all Hatchlings classes. \n\n\n\nSelect Wednesdays from 10:00 am – 11:00 am. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nArboretum Member registration for Spring 2026 classes opens Thursday\, December 4 Nonmember registration opens Thursday\, December 11. Become a Family Tree Member or above to access early registration and receive the Member rate. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nPricing\n\n\n\n$12 member / $15 nonmember Per child\, per classMore than one caregiver may accompany a registered child. We recommend a towel and a change of clothes for all. \n\n\n\nHatchlings is a dedicated learning and bonding opportunity for caregivers and their children\, birth to 24 months old only. Please plan ahead for older siblings who will need care during this time. \n\n\n\nAccessibility \n\n\n\nThis program is open to all abilities. Some areas where classes might be held are not stroller-friendly or wheelchair accessible. Please plan to carry your Hatchling to various locations and let us know if you need assistance with caregiver accessibility.

DESCRIPTION:Free\, registration requiredInstructor: Tiffany RitterAges 21+ \n\n\n\nAll educators are welcome at our Educator Workshops; classroom teachers\, outdoor educators\, scout leaders\, homeschool parents – anyone who wants to learn fun\, hands-on ways to teach children about science and nature. \n\n\n\nA different science theme will be explored each month; whether it’s ecosystems\, organisms\, composting\, or earth science\, our workshops are the most fun way to learn! \n\n\n\nThe Arboretum’s workshops include: \n\n\n\n\nEngaging outdoor activities\n\n\n\nFun curriculum ideas\n\n\n\nInter-disciplinary connections to the natural world \n\n\n\nLight snacks and beverages provided \n\n\n\n\nHouston Arboretum & Nature Center is an approved CPE provider for Texas Education Association.
