DESCRIPTION:2nd Saturday of the month8:00 – 10:00 amFree\, but donations appreciatedAll ages\, minors must be accompanied by an adult \n\n\n\nMeet in front of the Nature Center building \n\n\n\nWork on your bird watching skills while helping the Arboretum monitor bird populations on a fun\, relaxed morning walk. Join us on the second Saturday of each month in the courtyard behind the building for a two-hour bird survey led by Arboretum staff members\, Kelsey Low and Theo Ostler. We welcome all levels of bird watching skill and all ages (as long as you’re quiet) – but no dogs\, please! If you have binoculars of your own\, please bring them. We have a limited number of binoculars available to borrow. \n\n\n\nThe June 13\, 2026 Bird Survey has been cancelled. Please join us in July!

Enjoy a tasty cocktail as you meet some scaly\, cold-blooded friends up close and personal. You’ll learn why there’s no need to be afraid of snakes\, lizards\, and turtles\, and discover the important roles they play in the ecosystem. Finally\, we’ll go on a hike to enjoy our nighttime trails. \n\n\n\nPlease dress for the weather and wear walking shoes. We will offer you the chance to pet some of our reptile ambassadors\, but don’t worry – it’s not mandatory! You can admire them from a distance if you prefer. \n\n\n\nDue to continued power outages from Hurricane Beryl\, this class has been cancelled. You’ll also enjoy beer and other refreshments from Saint Arnold Brewing Company. \n\n\n\n\nRegister Online\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nPlease dress for the weather and wear walking shoes.
