Nature Revealed

Dragonflies and damselflies are beautiful, but voracious. These raptors of the insect world are important in both terrestrial and aquatic food webs. In this class you’ll learn how to tell “dragons” and “damsels” apart and discover their strange double-lives in water and air. You’ll also find answers to such questions as: Is it possible to breathe and poop via the same orifice? Can dragonflies prey on birds? And what is the killer lip?

Notes: Wear walking shoes and weather-appropriate clothing.
