Soda, beer, water, and juice – all those cans pile up. Upcycle some of that waste into beautiful one-of-a-kind wind chimes! Using supplies from the Arboretum and your own home, you’ll (carefully) cut up aluminum cans to make some delightful mobile art. On Thursday, August 20 or Friday, August 21 between 9 am and 4 pm, you can come to the Nature Center to pick up the following supplies: cut-resistant gloves, aluminum cans, design patterns, beads, and hardware for hanging the chimes. Then join us through Zoom on Saturday as we walk through the process of turning old cans into art. You will need your own sharp, sturdy scissors and something firm (like an old cutting board that you don’t mind scuffing up) as a work surface.

Registration Note: Wear clothes you don’t mind getting messy. Registrants will receive a class link on their receipt and will need to use this link to pre-register for the class on Zoom. The class will be recorded, and the video will be sent out after the class.
