Teens ages 13-17 are invited to apply for one of the Arboretum's two Teen Summer Programs: Teen Trail Team and Nature Rangers. Whether taking part in our outdoor conservation program, Teen Trail Team, or assisting our children’s programs as a Camp Nature Ranger, teen volunteers can acquire community service hours, learn new skills, and immerse themselves in nature. Applications close Friday, April 24.

The Woodway Entrance will be closed this Monday, March 23 for resurfacing and restriping. It will reopen on Tuesday, March 24 at 7:00 am. Please use the 610 Entrance if you plan to visit the Arboretum on Monday.

Good news! @houston_fire_department has confirmed Good news! @houston_fire_department has confirmed that the Arboretum's southern trails are safe to reopen after Wednesday's prescribed fire. 

Please note that there are still smoldering logs and stumps, so smoke may be present in the area. If you encounter smoke, please do not call 911. Arboretum staff members are monitoring the burn unit, but if you are sensitive to smoke, we recommend you avoid the following trails:

❎ Southern portions of the Inner Loop
❎ Southern portions of the Outer Loop
❎ Muscadine Trail
❎ South Meadow Trail
❎ Couch Birding Trail

🌱 Arrive early for your best chance at getting your desired plants
🌱 Become a Member for discounts on Plant Sale purchases
🌱 Enter via the 610 Entrance and park along the parking loop for easy access to the Plant Sale
🌱 Bring your own cart if you have one! Limited carts will be available to transport plants at the sale.
🌱 Check out the Plant List to make a plan, but remember - plant quantities may be limited
