Let the Arboretum come to you!
We offer outreach education for schools, libraries, businesses, civic clubs, and community events. As part of our mission to provide education about the natural environment to people of all ages, we have a variety of exciting programs that can fit your needs.
Naturalist in Your Classroom
Arboretum Naturalists are ready to connect with your students in person or online to encourage exploration and understanding of the outdoors. We offer TEKS aligned lessons for all grades, whether you are learning at-home or in school. Sessions are for up to 30 students and last approximately 45 – 60 minutes.
Children & Family Programs
Houston Arboretum & Nature Center values connecting communities across Houston to the nature in their neighborhoods. Arboretum Naturalists are available to visit libraries, community centers, and local organizations to deliver environmental education lessons with hands-on and engaging activities that connect children and families to the natural world.
Invite a Naturalist to attend your next club meeting or event and speak to your group in-person or online. Our nature experts educate and inspire as they deliver presentations focused on Houston habitats, wildlife, and conservation. Presentations last approximately 30 – 60 minutes.
