This year marks the completion of the Houston Arboretum & Nature Center’s transformational Master Plan. To celebrate this exciting moment, and to ensure safety for those who attend, the annual Alfresco Gala will be held along the Arboretum’s renovated trails and beautifully restored landscape as a roving dinner experience. Guests will enjoy gourmet food and wine as they stroll in small groups under the evening sky.

Event Information

Location & Parking

  • This year’s gala will be held at the Houston Arboretum & Nature Center. Parking is available at both the 610 Entrance and the Woodway Entrance.
  • Parking is free for all guests attending the gala. We will have security onsite, but please do not leave valuables in your car. Bags may be checked at the Nature Center.
  • You may leave your vehicle overnight, however the Arboretum is not responsible for any damage to your vehicle. Gates are open from 7 am – dusk.

Attire

  • This event will be held outdoors – we suggest you dress comfortably with the evening’s weather in mind.
  • Your evening will include a leisurely walk along the trails – high heels are not recommended.
  • This event is rain or shine.

Dietary Accommodations

  • Cotton Culinary will provide vegetarian options upon request.
  • Other dietary requests will be accommodated to the best of their ability.

Cancellation Policy

  • If the gala is cancelled due to City of Houston requirements, donors may opt into an at-home experience that will include a basket of wine and offerings from Cotton Culinary and other Arboretum partners.
  • If you or your guests do not attend the event, your donation will be considered fully tax-deductible.
  • The Arboretum can not offer refunds or credits for future galas at this time.
