If the Houston Arboretum & Nature Center holds special meaning for you, please consider including the Arboretum in your estate planning. Legacy gifts ensure that the Arboretum can remain a place of exploration, discovery, and inspiration to Houstonians for generations to come.
Planned gifts may be made in any of the following ways:
- Name the Arboretum as a beneficiary of your will.
- Designate the Arboretum as a beneficiary of retirement assets including an IRA, 401(k), 403(b) or other pension plans.
- Donate a life insurance policy to the Arboretum or simply name it as a beneficiary.
McAshan Society
In gratitude to those who have demonstrated their commitment to the Arboretum through a planned gift, we have established the McAshan Society. Membership in this group does not require any dues, but it does allow us to thank you today for the support you are providing to the Arboretum well into the future. Membership is open to all individuals who have made an estate provision for the Arboretum, or a planned or deferred gift. If you have provided for the Arboretum in your estate plans, please let us know so we can welcome you into the McAshan Society and make sure your gift intentions are properly carried out.
As a McAshan Society member, you will be recognized with a lifetime membership to the Arboretum and invited to special events exclusively for Society members.
For more information about planned giving and other ways to provide for the Arboretum, please contact the Advancement Director by email or at 713-366-0374.
