Houston Arboretum & Nature Center is an approved CPE provider for Texas Education Association. Teachers who attend our workshops receive official CPE credits and proof of attendance for each workshop.

Learn how to make the most of your school’s outdoor spaces. Discuss tips for maintaining focus, ensuring safety, and using common science tools for all classes from Math to ELA to Reading and of course Science!

Food chains and webs are vital to healthy habitats and ecosystems. Expand your understanding of how interconnected biotic organisms and abiotic factors are and why they’re so important! We’ll hunt for predators and prey in our ponds and forests.
Weather Watchers

Clouds, rainbows, ice storms, and sunny skies are all part of nature’s weather cycles. Make your own weathervanes, anemometers, and learn how to predict the weather based on cloud patterns in this workshop.
