For children 18 months – 4 years
Encourage your child’s curiosity about nature and spend time with them exploring outdoors! Children 18 months to 4 years, with an adult companion, can join a Naturalist for a story reading, a simple nature activity or craft, and a stroller-friendly hike on the beautiful Arboretum trails. Enjoy an interesting new nature experience each week with themes such as rabbits, snakes, senses, and wind!
Select Mondays at 9:30 am and 10:30 am
Cost per class:
Free for Family Tree Members and above (please have member card on hand)
$7 per child for nonmembers, pay at the door (18 months and up; younger siblings welcome).
No registration necessary, however admittance will be limited to 20 children per session. We meet rain or shine! Please dress for the weather. Closed-toe shoes are best for the hikes.

Tyke Hikes en español!
¡Fomenta la curiosidad de tu hijo por la naturaleza y pasa tiempo con él explorando al aire libre! Los niños con un compañero adulto pueden unirse a un naturalista para leer un cuento, realizar una actividad sencilla de desarrollo sensorial o de la naturaleza y realizar una caminata para cochecitos por los hermosos senderos del Arboretum. Llegue vestido con zapatos cerrados y ropa cómoda para jugar. Esté preparado para el clima, incluyendo sombrero, protector solar, chaquetas, impermeable o botas de lluvia, según sea necesario. Disfrute de una nueva e interesante experiencia natural cada semana con temas como estanques, serpientes, sentidos y viento.
