Bat Fest
September 17 from 10:00 am – 2:00 pm

Bats do so much for us that we think they deserve a whole day of celebration! The Houston Arboretum is proud to announce its first annual Bat Fest in honor of our mosquito-eating, pest-controlling, pollinating, and seed-dispersing bat superheroes. Visit booths from community partners like Houston Bat Team and Texas Wildlife Rehabilitation Coalition to learn more about Houston’s 11 bat species, how they help humans, and how we can help them. There will be fun bat-themed activities, crafts for kids, live animals, Mesquite Wood Fire Pizza food truck, as well as a blood drive with Gulf Coast Regional Blood Center. This family-friendly event is free and open to the public.
