What’s better than making homemade jam? In this class we’re celebrating blackberry season by working together to make small batch blackberry jam. We’ll take turns to cook the berries and then process filled jars in a hot water bath to produce shelf-stable preserves. While you wait for your turn, we’ll taste some jam and go on a hike to look for wild blackberries. However, nature is tricky to time: if there aren’t enough wild ripe blackberries, we’ll use store-bought.

Masks are optional when not eating or drinking. Wear clothes you don’t mind getting messy and dress for the weather.
