Froggy Night

Hop on over for a wet, wild night! Enjoy refreshments (frog-themed snacks, coffee, and Saint Arnold Brewing Company beer) while you learn all about the strange and wonderful world of frogs, from their croaking courtship to their mysterious metamorphosis. Weather permitting, we’ll also go for a hike to search for frogs and other nocturnal creatures.
Please dress for the weather and wear walking shoes.
Instructor bio: Dr. Cassidy Johnson has a B.S. and M.S. in Biology at Texas A&M University – Corpus Christi and a Ph.D. in Biochemistry & Cell Biology from Rice University. She loves teaching biology and is currently an Assistant Teaching Professor for Rice BioSciences. She fell in love with local amphibians while working for the Houston toad ex situ conservation program at the Houston Zoo. She is also passionate about the protection and restoration of Texas prairies and is on the board of the Native Prairie Association of Texas and was previously the president of the Coastal Prairie Partnership.
