Sweeping the Savanna

Springtime in the savanna is buzzing with activity! Butterflies, bees, and beetles use this restored habitat for food and shelter. Come discover the diversity of our grassland insects and practice your sweep netting techniques along the Arboretum’s trails.  

Please come dressed for the outdoors, including closed-toe shoes. This is a family program; parents are required to attend program with children.

The Arboretum is currently CLOSED due to the continuing power outage caused by Hurricane Beryl. All classes and events on Monday, July 15 and Tuesday, July 16 have been cancelled or postponed. Please check back for updates.
