Under the Microscope

Join us to explore our tiniest ecosystem: the microcosmos! In this hands-on class, we’ll collect water samples and view them under our video microscopes to go on a miniature safari. We might see glass-walled diatoms, cyclops copepods, tentacled hydra, and other strange and exotic creatures that wouldn’t look out of place in a sci-fi movie. Along the way we’ll discuss how microorganisms are vital for the continued health of our planet.

Wear close-toed shoes and dress for the weather.
