Have a howlin’ good time on a summer night out in nature! Join Urban Wildlife Biologist Kelly Norrid to get the real poop on coyotes – literally. You’ll enjoy Saint Arnold Brewing Company beer while you learn about these urban survivors and discover how scientists study coyote diets in Houston. After the talk we’ll go on a night hike to explore coyote habitat and look for nocturnal wildlife.

Dress for the weather and bring a mask to wear indoors.

Instructor bio: Kelly Norrid is a Houston Urban Wildlife Biologist with the Texas Parks & Wildlife Department. He provides guidance, management recommendations, and public outreach focused on urban animals. He also engages in research and is currently looking at coyote diets in urban Houston.

The Arboretum is currently CLOSED due to the continuing power outage caused by Hurricane Beryl. All classes and events on Monday, July 15 and Tuesday, July 16 have been cancelled or postponed. Please check back for updates.
