Wild Wetlands

Wetlands are one of Texas’ most valuable treasures! A wetland is a zone of transition where water and land meet. Texas wetlands are more than just swamps or ponds. This unique ecosystem provides many benefits to humans, as well as homes for numerous plants and wildlife! Explore our wetlands and learn why we need to protect this precious resource. This event is free to the public and includes a self-guided hike through our wetlands and fun activities for the kids!

This event will be outdoors and is weather dependent. Social distancing and masks are encourage. Hand sanitizer will be available at the tables.

The Arboretum is currently CLOSED due to the continuing power outage caused by Hurricane Beryl. All classes and events on Monday, July 15 and Tuesday, July 16 have been cancelled or postponed. Please check back for updates.
