Guided Nature Hikes

GUIDED NATURE HIKES HAVE BEEN SUSPENDED THROUGH THE END OF MARCH.

Venture out with an Arboretum Guide for a free, family-friendly guided hike through the Houston Arboretum. Explore our ecosystems to learn about the local wildlife, plants, and natural history of our beautiful nature center.

General Information

Time: Saturdays at 10 am and 11 am*
Length: 45 minutes
Cost: Hikes are FREE to the public
Location: Please arrive 15 minutes early and check-in at the 610 Information Kiosk
Accessibility: Both time slots will have a stroller-friendly option

*Hikes are weather dependent and may not run on select Saturdays due to holidays or special events.

Hike participants should come prepared to be outside. A water bottle, hat, closed-toe shoes, and bug spray are recommended.

Hikes are limited to 20 individuals per hike and are available on a first-come, first-serve basis. Parents must accompany their children at all times. If you are looking for a hike for a group, troop, club, or other organization, please see below.
